There’s no denying that it is advantageous to be born the child of successful entertainers in the industry. In most cases, the children reap the fruits of their parents’ hard work, which allows them to get ahead. Noel Gallagher gave his perspective on the issue in an interview with Absolute Radio’s Dave Berry. Here’s what the former Oasis guitarist had to say.
“It depends on which way you look at it,” Gallagher said before talking about his daughter. “My daughter, she follows me around with a camera, and she films me and all that. She did a film about the making of the [upcoming High Flying Birds] album [‘Council Skies’].”
The singer added, “I guess you want to keep things close to home, but they must be good at what they do. She’s good at what she does. She’s not just wandering around pointing a camera going, ‘Muhh; there’s my dad,’ she is great.”
Gallagher mentioned hiring his children to be involved with his projects, saying, “It’s not the worst thing in the world if you get your kids working for you; they’re cheap, do you know what I mean? My lads are too busy scratching their balls and scouring TikTok for nonsense to worry about, ‘Dad, can I be your bass player’ or anything like that.”
Even though it is debated whether these kids have the upper hand in life, they have the privilege of being born into advantages. It is their decision whether to take it or not, but the opportunity is there. However, for Gallagher, his boys are more interested in scrolling through TikTok than being worried about playing in their father’s band. So it really depends on the kids and what route they want to take for their careers.
