Nikki Sixx Displays Vince Neil’s Surprise Present, ‘One Of The Greatest Gifts Ever’
Mötley Crüe bassist Nikki Sixx recently shared a post on his official Instagram account to show his bandmate Vince Neil‘s surprise present that made him very happy.
In the summer of 2022, Mötley Crüe initially planned to perform their ‘Stadium Tour‘ with Def Leppard co-headlining. However, it was rescheduled for 2022 after a few postponements due to the coronavirus pandemic. The long-awaited tour finally kicked off on June 16 in Cumberland, Georgia. The North American leg of the tour will end with their gig in Las Vegas on September 9. The European leg will be taking place in 2023.
The band’s lead singer Vince Neil has also been busy with his upcoming documentary, ‘Mötley Crüe’s Vince Neil: My Story,’ which focuses on the highs and lows of the rocker’s life. In the nearly two-hour film, the singer talks about his rise to fame, his departure from the band, and the turbulent period. The documentary will air today exclusively on Reelz.
Vince Neil recently surprised his bandmate, Nikki Sixx, with a special present. In his Instagram post, Sixx wrote that they had a great time hanging out in New York before their show. He discovered a music store that sells standup basses, but he didn’t have much time to look through since they had to catch the gig.
When the show was over and the bassist was heading to the dressing room, he saw the bass Vince Neil bought him as a gift. Sixx said it is one of the greatest gifts he has ever received and thanked his bandmate for this special present that made him very happy.
Nikki Sixx’s Instagram post read:
“Today in New York, there was a cool store that just sold standup basses. I went in and looked around at these beautiful standups but had to run for the show. We had a great hang as a band today before the show and a killer show at Citi Field.
When I walked off stage and into my dressing room, there stood a massive fretless machine leaning against the wall. The gift was from my singer, Vince Neil. When I went into his room, he looked like a Cheshire cat. He was pretty happy about the gift, and so was /am I. Honestly, one of the greatest gifts I’ve ever received. Thank you, Vinnie.”
