Nikki Sixx And Tommy Lee Share Their New Mötley Crüe Approved Collaboration
Mötley Crüe bassist Nikki Sixx and drummer Tommy Lee recently shared a video from their official social media accounts in which they announced their collaboration with two charity organizations. The famous musicians also invited their fans to donate and get a chance to win a big prize.
American for-profit fundraising company, Omaze, which Ryan Cummins and Matthew Pohlson founded in July 2012, has partnered with various charity and non-profit organizations to collect donations for years. The company determines specific prizes such as material goods, property, or celebrity experiences to encourage people to donate to charity and support the foundations while getting something out of it.
Recently, Omaze collaborated with MusiCares, a non-profit foundation that aims to help people who work in the music industry during challenging times. MusiCares provides mental health support and addiction recovery, health, and human services. Their help is crucial right now, especially in the middle of a global pandemic, during which many musicians or technicians have lost their jobs. They recently announced their new collaboration through Mötley Crüe’s Tommy Lee and Nikki Sixx.
In the video they shared, Sixx and Lee revealed that Omaze is offering a chance to win a Mötley Crüe approved, restored, and upgraded 1969 Pontiac GTO for the lucky person who donates to MusiCares’ campaign. Both of them asked their fans to show their support for it by donating money for the sake of musicians who require financial help. In the caption of their post, they also showed off the big prize while adding that all profit will go to the foundation.
Lee’s IG post caption read:
“You could score this badass Pontiac GTO, all to support MusiCares. What are you waiting for? Enter at the link in bio or go to Omaze’s website.“
Tommy Lee said the following during the video:
“Hey, what’s up, everyone? It’s Tommy Lee. We’ve teamed up with amazing Omaze to offer you the chance to win this fully restored and upgraded 1969 Pontiac GTO with taxes and shipping included. Don’t miss out. Click the link or go to Omaze’s website and enter before the deadline for your chance to win. Thanks for donations and good luck.”
Here’s what Sixx wrote in his tweet:
“You could score this badass Pontiac GTO, all to support MusiCares. What are you waiting for? Enter now.”
Nikki Sixx announced the news as follows:
“Hey, I’m Nikki Sixx from Mötley Crüe and you are definitely going to hear this. The GTO is badass, loud, and in your face. It’s Mötley Crüe approved. So check it out. The best of all, every donation will support the non-profit MusiCares and their work to provide critical health and welfare services to the whole music community.”
