In a new interview, Nic Collins, the son of Phil Collins, chose her sister Lily Collins’ work over his father’s.
Along with his contributions to Genesis, the drummer also had an acting career in his earlier days. Similarly, his daughter Lily followed in his acting footsteps. In the recent episode of The UK Drum Show, Nic was asked to get rid of one of the two: the Netflix series ‘Emily In Paris,’ starring his sister, or the 1988 movie ‘Buster,’ starring his dad. Nic burst into laughter and revealed his choice:
“Wow. I don’t know if I’ve ever actually seen ‘Buster.’ It was before my time and I think I was too young to watch it, and then eventually, it never happened. I’d probably get rid of Buster just because, other than that movie, he was doing all right. He doesn’t need that movie.”
Lily’s Role in ‘Emily in Paris’

Lily Collins plays the main character Emily in the series ‘Emily In Paris,’ which tells the story of an American woman from the Midwest who is hired by a marketing firm in Paris to provide them with an American perspective. The series was first released in October 2020 and currently has 30 episodes in total.
Phil Colins’ Acting Career

The Genesis drummer took place in ten movies, two for voiceovers and eight for acting purposes. The rocker started his acting career at the age of 13 and eventually moved to music as well. Taking place in both Genesis and in movies, ‘And The Band Played On’ marks his last appearance in his acting career. Collins then concentrated on making music and ultimately, retired in 2011 due to not ‘belonging in this world,’ and instead focused on looking after his children. That same year, Genesis was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
