In response to a fan mail, CSNY icon Neil Young recently revealed in a letter that he is not feeling ready to appear on a live show despite his previous announcement that he would take the stage for Farm Aid this year.

Neil Young has made considerable contributions to the music scene by creating albums combining the elements of rock, country, and folk in his sound. He started his solo career with the self-titled debut album in 1968. Young began to succeed with the following records like ‘Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere.’

He has also had achievements with his backing band Crazy Horse from the past to the present. The musician released the concept album ‘Greendale’ in 2003 included ten rock opera songs. Young has furthermore given importance to discussing political and social issues in his records, as he did on the 2006 album ‘Living with War.’

As an activist, environmentalist, and humanitarian who mentions social matters in the world in his lyrics, Young also gives concerts about current issues. He co-founded the Farm Aid organization along with Willie Nelson and John Mellencamp in 1985. The rocker has been a part of the organization’s annual concerts every year to provide benefits for American farmers.

Young recently revealed in response to a letter that he would not take the stage for this year’s benefit concert for Farm Aid. His fan expressed their admiration for the musician stating they were extremely excited to see him on stage. Unfortunately, the rocker said he could not be a part of this show because of the ongoing hazards of the global pandemic. According to him, he should stay away from the crowd because he has not still felt safe due to the conditions.

In his response, Neil Young said:

“Thanks, Tyler. Much appreciated. I will not be at Farm Aid this year. I am not ready for that yet. I don’t think it is safe in the pandemic. I miss it very much. Love, be well.”

Unfortunately, the ongoing pandemic continues to affect musicians’ organizations. Recently, Neil Young, who has not felt safe due to possible health problems, has informed that he cannot be a part of this year’s Farm Aid concert. Still, Young also noted that he has missed meeting his fans.
