Midge Ure Picks Elton John As The Best Kiss Of His Life

Midge Ure has been in the industry for decades by being a part of several bands along the way. To celebrate being a part of the music industry for seven decades, the singer will have a concert at Royal Albert Hall. To talk about his career, he did an interview with The Guardian, and when asked what his best kiss was, Ure replied:

“The most memorable was at the Ivor Novello Awards. Elton John spotted me across the room and came up and kissed me straight on the lips. I thought: ‘OK! I’m in!'”

Even though Ure might not have expected a peck on the lips, Elton is famous for his kisses with various celebrities within the entertainment industry. To name a few, there are Rebel Wilson, Madonna, and David Beckham. Here’s how the kiss went down; just before the the Royal Wedding between Prince Harry and Meghan Markle started John and Beckham shared a kiss.

Besides talking about sharing a kiss with Elton, Midge also answered several other questions, including one about what the singer and guitarist thought about how it feels to be in love. He expressed:

“It’s not all soft focus and wheat fields. Love songs can be about hate, fear, envy, lust, and anger because that’s part of love as well.”

Finally, when Ure was asked during the Q&A if he ever said ‘I love you’ to someone and not meant it, the musician replied:

“Loads of times on phone calls. It doesn’t mean love, it’s goodbye or see you later.”
