Mick Mars’ Wife Seraina On Her Husband’s New Solo Album: ‘Blood, Sweat, Tears’

Mick Mars’ debut solo album, ‘The Other Side Of Mars,’ is coming out this Friday, February 23. The guitarist has been teasing fans on X with snippets and images related to the album, including a few photos that give a nod to the album’s cover art.

Under these snapshots, showing Mars with his fist up, displaying his ‘MARS’ tattooed fingers at the camera, his wife Seraina left a supportive comment. Her words read:

“Blood, sweat, tears, and the big day is finally inching close! So proud of you, my Marsman!”

The Album Took A While To Arrive

Mick Mars first talked about going solo in 2014 and began recording tracks with John Corabi in 2015, though these were not used in the final album. Despite teasings from other musicians, Mars’ solo efforts remained on hold, especially during his time with Mötley Crüe.

His departure from the band in late 2022 re-sparked the record’s production. After a legal issue with Mötley Crüe, which led to rumors about ‘The Other Side Of Mars’ being blocked by the band’s label, the guitarist officially announced the album on Halloween 2023.

More Of Mars On Record

In previous interviews, Mars has shared details about the album’s tracklist and mentioned a different sound than his Crüe days. While talking about one of the songs in a chat with Rolling Stone, he also hinted at references to the dispute between him and his ex-bandmates:

“This is a song I wrote called ‘Killing Breed.’ It’s about narcissists that keep you pinned down and make you feel crazy.”

The album’s rollout saw the release of the lead single, ‘Loyal To The Lie,’ with a music video in October. ‘Right Side Of Wrong’ and ‘Undone’ followed in December and January, respectively.

Despite the buzz around the album, Mars has decided against touring, citing his health and age as major factors.
