Former Mötley Crüe guitarist Mick Mars is releasing his first solo album.

Due to health challenges, the rocker decided to retire from the band in 2022. Despite the official announcement, Mars also stated that he would continue to be a band member but could not go on the road anymore due to a battle with a degenerative spinal condition.

After his retirement, Mars was ultimately replaced with John 5. However, his retirement from the road didn’t stop him from making music. The rocker recently shared details about the upcoming album while clarifying a misconception about the title.

The Title of The Album

Earlier, the guitarist had already started a countdown for his upcoming record, and the title of it was leaked on some platforms. However, the rocker recently explained that the title that had been known for months was inaccurate, and he proceeded to share the actual title with his fans. He wrote:

“Good day to you all that follow me and support me. I wanted to reach out to all of you and let you know how much I appreciate you. I don’t usually tweet but I needed everyone to know that the title of my album is: The Other Side of Mars. Not Another Side of Mars.”

Mars got supportive comments for his news from his fans and followers. Among the supporting people, a fellow rocker shared his appreciation as well. Vanilla Fudge drummer Carmine Appice replied to the new information with the following:

“Good one Mick!”

The Misunderstanding of the Album’s Name

When the news about the rocker’s first album was revealed, it was thought to be named ‘Another Side of Mars.’ The false title even made it to several news pages until recently, when Mars shared his post to clarify the mistake.

Despite dropping a new album, Mars has no intentions to tour. As he stated earlier, the rocker won’t be touring but will do a one-off or a couple of shows if people want him to.

Being the founder of Mötley Crüe, Mars has contributed to the band’s every record and has been with them for over four decades. Now, coming up with his new album, the rocker still has not shared the release date for the album.
