Melanie Hamrick, Mick Jagger’s fiancée, has addressed recent misrepresentations about her views on The Rolling Stones through her Instagram.

“This is a total mistranslation from a French interview,” Hamrick stated. “It’s obvious no one at this paper speaks French.”

“I find the Stones music anything but boring,” she continued. “They are an inspiration to myself and millions! I even choreograph in my work.”

“My ballet Porte Rogue is based on my favorite songs – ‘She’s a Rainbow,’ ‘Sympathy for the Devil,’ and ‘Paint it Black,'” she added.

Her statement refutes a news article that claimed she found Rolling Stones songs boring. The article had also suggested there was ‘no spark’ during her first meeting with Jagger.

Her connection to music and dance extends far beyond these misrepresented claims.

A report from Live Arts Global highlighted Hamrick’s distinguished career as a professional ballerina. She dedicated 16 years to the American Ballet Theatre. Her training at the prestigious Kirov Academy of Ballet led to collaborations with celebrated choreographers Alexei Ratmansky and Twyla Tharp.

Pointe Magazine documented her ballet production Porte Rouge’s journey. The show premiered at the Mariinsky Theatre before its successful run at the Lincoln Center. This production showcased her talent for merging classical ballet with rock music.

WMGK revealed that the couple’s relationship began in 2014. They welcomed their son, Deveraux Octavian Basil Jagger, in 2016.

The Nightly noted the couple’s two to three-year engagement. Hamrick views their engagement ring as a ‘promise ring.’ She expressed satisfaction with their current lifestyle, showing no rush toward marriage.
