Maynard James Keenan has just hinted that he is working on new music with Puscifer.

The rocker took to Instagram to share a detail about his upcoming music — it’s goth. He shared a meme on his account about how he thinks he looks and sounds and how he actually looks and sounds while ‘tracking this new goth tune.’ He added in the caption, “Forlorn Drunkle. Hello, 2025. Let’s do stuff.”

In a conversation during the ‘Sessanta’ tour last year — a celebration of Keenan’s 60th birthday that includes collaborative and rotating sets from A Perfect Circle, Primus, and Puscifer, Keenan revealed that he would start writing new music once he was done with touring.

“I’ve got three bands that need to write songs, so I’m going to be doing that,” he said. “But I’m also expanding out in Arizona, opening up a fried chicken place in Cottonwood. When it comes to winemaking and growing our own grapes, we’re planting vineyards and strapping in for four or five years of waiting to see what’s going to happen there. That’s the one that takes the most planning and patience.”

He added, “But other than that, the path is kind of laid out for you. Like Les said, he’s a bass player. I’m a singer. I’ve got to write songs. That’s what I do. So the next year and a half to me is writing songs I’ve got to write.”

While Keenan actively works on releasing new material, Puscifer’s latest material is a single titled ‘The Algorithm.’
