Maynard James Keenan Pulls A Prank On Blonde Redhead During A Live Show

Tool and Puscifer frontman Maynard James Keenan is recently videotaped by fans during a live show while he was pranking the band Blonde Redhead, who was the opening act for Tool’s ‘Fear Inoculum Tour.’

The global pandemic caused public gatherings, live events, and concerts to be canceled, and this took a heavy toll on most of the musicians. Among the others who postponed their tours were Tool as they had to postpone their 2019 ‘Fear Inoculum Tour’ to 2022.

After the tour was announced, fans began to wonder which music act will support Tool throughout the dates as the opener. Maynard James Keenan then announced that Blonde Redhead, the band mostly known for their song ‘For The Damage Coda,’ would be their opening act as their sound was quite different, and he wanted people to discover them.

The Fear Inoculum Tour began on January 10th and concluded recently on February 10, 2022. On the final show, Maynard James Keenan and the other members of Tool decided to prank Blonde Redhead on the stage in the middle of their performance, and they entertained the fans with their shenanigans.

As seen in the video shared by Blonde Redhead’s Kazu Makino in an Instagram story, Maynard James Keenan and his bandmates raid the stage while wearing long and blond wigs and headbanging to Blonde Redhead’s performance. Makino shared the story with a caption saying that this is how he looks when he is stunned.

Kazu Makino stated in his Instagram story that:

“Tool making a point of our last show… This is how I look when I am stunned.”
