The iconic vocalist Marilyn Manson has taken his Instagram account to show his reaction to the recent sexual allegations made by his ex-girlfriend and well-known actress Evan Rachel Wood which caused him to be dropped by the record label along with the reaction from the public.

As you may remember, the famous actress Evan Rachel Wood and Marilyn Manson had three years of relationship together starting in 2017. The couple got engaged in 2010, yet they broke up a couple of months after their engagement.

Earlier in 2020, Evan Rachel Wood opened up about her previous experiences with sexual abuse and revealed that she was actually a survivor of domestic abuse and rape. Even though she didn’t share any names, Marilyn Manson was observed among the possible abusers that caused the tragedy that Wood experienced.

Recently, Evan Rachel Wood shared a public statement on her Instagram account and reveal the name of her abuser. In her open letter, Rachel stated that Brian Warner, also known as Marilyn Manson, horrifically abused her for years who started grooming her when she was only a teenager. She mentioned that she was done living in fear and wanted to expose the person who is responsible for the terrifying experience she had. Wood also stated that she stands with many other victims of sexual or mental abuse who won’t remain silent anymore.

Here is what Evan Rachel Wood wrote in her statement:

“The name of my abuser is Brian Warner, also known to the world as Marilyn Manson. He started grooming me when I was a teenager and horrifically abused me for years. I was brainwashed and manipulated into submission. I am done living in fear of retaliation, slander, or blackmail. I am here to expose this dangerous man and call out the many industries that have enabled him before he ruins any more lives. I stand with the many victims who will no longer be silent.”

Following Wood’s statements, the record label that Marilyn Manson has been working with for his new album, Loma Vista, announced that they will cease to further promote Manson’s album effective immediately. The company also stated that considering the disturbing allegations made by the young actress, they won’t be working with Manson on any one of his future projects.

Here is what the record label stated in their official announcement about dropping Marilyn Manson:

“In light of today’s disturbing allegations by Evan Rachel Wood and other women naming Marilyn Manson as their abuser, Loma Vista will cease to further promote his current album, effective immediately. Due to these concerning developments, we have also decided not to work with Marilyn Manson on any future projects.”

Soon later, Marilyn Manson shared a statement to respond to the recent sexual abuse allegations against him made by Evan Rachel Woods. In his statement, Manson mentioned that it wasn’t surprising to being exposed to various controversies about his personal life and music career. However, he referred to the latest abuse allegations about him as a ‘horrible distortion of reality.’

Marilyn assured that all of his intimate relationships have been ‘entirely consensual with like-minded partners.’ He implied that the focus in these allegations should also be upon how and why Wood decided to ‘mispresent the past’ about her relationship with Manson at the moment. Considering the latest announcement of his record label, Manson preferred not to make any comments on the issue for now.

Here is what Marilyn Manson wrote in his statement about the abuse allegations:

“Obviously, my art and my life have long been magnets of controversy, but these recent claims about me are a horrible distortion of reality. My intimate relationships have always been entirely consensual with like-minded partners. Regardless of how – and why – others are now choosing to misrepresent the past, that is the truth.”
