Halestorm frontwoman Lzzy Hale recently came out as bisexual. She has now reacted to her inclusion in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame’s newest exhibit, ‘Women in Metal: You Will Know My Name.’
The exhibit celebrates influential women in the metal genre. Hale expressed deep pride and gratitude over being featured alongside fellow icons of the genre.
“I’m so proud to be a part of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame’s ‘Women in Metal’ Exhibit,” Hale said. “I’m honored to stand next to my sisters of scream.”
Hale went on to reflect on the broader significance of the exhibit and its impact on future generations of metal artists.
“These women have set me on fire and helped shape this genre,” she continued. “Together, we are creating a space to shine, be loud, and carve a path for the next generation to follow, like our foremothers inspired us. Raise your horns and come celebrate with me on July 10th!”
The exhibit is set to be celebrated on July 10th at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
Hale’s inclusion carries added weight given her recent personal revelation. Her visibility within a landmark institutional celebration of women in metal has resonated deeply with fans and the broader rock community.
Halestorm is a Pennsylvania-based band that Hale has fronted since the late 1990s. The band made history as the first hard rock group led by a woman to win a Grammy Award. They took home Best Hard Rock/Metal Performance in 2013 for their song “Love Bites (So Do I).”
The ‘Women in Metal: You Will Know My Name’ exhibit honors a wide range of trailblazing artists who have shaped the genre across decades. It stands as one of the Hall’s most focused tributes to a specific community within rock music. The exhibit recognizes both legacy figures and contemporary voices who have pushed metal forward.
Hale has consistently used her platform to advocate for inclusivity within the rock and metal world. Her coming out added a new dimension to her public identity. Her enthusiastic embrace of the exhibit reflects a broader cultural moment in which metal is increasingly acknowledging the diversity of its artists and fanbase.
The July 10th celebration at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame is expected to draw significant attention from the metal community. Hale’s participation is set to serve as a centerpiece of the event.
