Liam Gallagher talked about Oasis’ Rock Hall nomination on X.

“RNR hall of fame is for WANKERS,” the singer wrote in his response to Oasis Mania’s announcement of the news.

A fan asked the rocker, “What are you gonna do if you win?” Liam replied by saying, “Obv go and say it’s the best thing EVER.”

This isn’t the first time Gallagher has criticized the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. When Oasis was nominated last year, he dismissed it, writing, “F*ck the Rock n Roll hall of fame its full of BUMBACLARTS LG.” He also advised fans not to waste their time voting, calling the whole process ‘a load of bollox,’ via Billboard.

Gallagher repeated his criticism in a 2024 interview, mocking the Hall of Fame’s choices. He told The Sunday Times, “As much as I love Mariah Carey and all that, I want to say: do me a favour and f*ck off. It’s like putting me in the rap hall of fame, and I don’t want to be part of anything that mentally disturbed. Besides, I’ve done more for rock n’ roll than half of them clowns on that board.”

Oasis, like The White Stripes, was a strong contender when nominated in 2024 but didn’t get in. This time, their chances look better after announcing a reunion tour.

Oasis will start their reunion tour this summer and fall, beginning with two nights in Cardiff, Wales on July 4. They’ll play more shows in the U.K. and then head to North America in late August.

The Rock Hall nominees are Mariah Carey, Phish, Outkast, Oasis, Billy Idol, Cyndi Lauper, Joy Division/New Order, Soundgarden, The White Stripes, Joe Cocker, Bad Company, The Black Crowes, Chubby Checker, and Maná, via NME.

The inductees will be announced in late April, along with the winners of the Musical Influence Award, Musical Excellence Award, and Ahmet Ertegun Non-Performer Award. The ceremony will be in Los Angeles this fall.
