Korn gave a new update about their North America shows by sharing a recent post on their official Instagram account.

Korn and System of a Down have been touring together in North America for over a week now. However, SOAD announced yesterday that their frontman Serj Tankian tested positive for the novel coronavirus. System Of A Down revealed that even though they took all the precautions, Serj sadly contracted the virus.

Therefore, they will be postponing their upcoming Los Angeles shows to February 2022. While saying that they are disappointed to give this update, SOAD also mentioned that the safety of the crew, band members, and the community was the most important factor that affected this decision.

As System Of A Down made this announcement and gave information about the ticket refunds, Korn fans were expecting to see any change of plans for their favorite band. Unfortunately, Korn also confirmed the postponement by simply reposting this announcement.

Here’s the official announcement by SOAD:

“It is with great regret that we must reschedule our Los Angeles performances to February 4th and 5th, 2022.

Despite multiple precautionary measures, Serj has unfortunately tested positive for COVID.  We are sorry to disappoint our amazing fans with this last-minute news, as we could not wait to finally play for you.

However, the health of our band, crew, venue staff, and all of our fans is our top priority. All tickets will be honored for the rescheduled dates. Refund availability will be sent to all ticket buyers via email.”
