Kix Give An Update On Drummer Jimmy Chalfant After Collapsing On Stage
Kix drummer Jimmy Chalfant scared his fans after he collapsed during their show at Tally Ho Theater in Leesburg, Virginia. The paramedics got to him quickly, and he was transferred to a hospital in no time, but the drummer is rumored to have had a heart attack.
It was highly alarming for Kix members and their fans to see Chalfant collapse onstage, and thus, the band quickly made an announcement on their Instagram account, updating everyone about Jimmy’s condition. Although his collapse was a cardiac-related issue, they don’t know whether it was a heart attack.
The statement assured their fans and loved ones that the drummer is “Awake, alert, resting comfortably and in good spirits in the hospital after collapsing towards the end of their performance at the Tally-Ho Theater in Leesburg, Virginia on night one of a two nights stint.”
Speaking on what could have caused Chalfant’s collapse, the band noted, “While clearly a cardiac event, it is unknown at this time whether or not Jimmy actually suffered a heart attack. Jimmy will be undergoing a series of tests to determine exactly what in fact occurred.”
“The second performance scheduled for this evening (Saturday, November 19) is understandably postponed with a makeup date pending the prognosis of Jimmy’s condition. Kix appreciates the outpouring of love and concern for Jimmy and thanks everyone for their courteous understanding in the matter.”
Although the band canceled their performance on November 19 due to the drummer’s condition, their fans bombarded the post with messages of love and support. Kix members and fans now excitedly await Jimmy Chafant’s recovery to see the band rock the stage once again.
