Kirk Hammett Works On A New Record But Not For Metallica
Santana guitarist Carlos Santana revealed the guest appearances for the band’s upcoming album during a recent interview with ABC News Radio and apparently, Metallica lead guitarist Kirk Hammett is working on a track for Santana‘s next album.
As you might remember, Kirk Hammett previously worked with Santana on its twentieth studio album ‘All That I Am’ as he contributed to the track ‘Trinity’ which was a cover version of Pakistani musician Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan’s song ‘Tere Bina.’
Carlos Santana has announced the band’s upcoming album which is going to be the follow-up to its twenty-fifth studio album, ‘Africa Speaks’ released on June 7, 2019. While fans were already excited to hear new music from the iconic band, Carlos revealed more thrilling news for both their and Metallica fans.
During a recent interview, Santana guitarist announced the guest musicians on the upcoming album, and apparently, Metallica icon Kirk Hammett is also performing on a song from the new album. While giving the exciting news, Carlos referred to Hammett as his brother, revealing that the two musicians have a very close relationship.

“My brother Kirk Hammett from Metallica is playing. He’s tearing it up.”
