Kelly shared the personal moment with a heartfelt caption that expressed her grief and longing for her father. The message reflected on the loss and what she wished for on her special day.

“Birthdays are a reminder of the life you gave me, Daddy,” Kelly wrote. “I wish you were still here to celebrate it with me. Every candle I blow out carries the same wish… Just one more moment with you.”

The tribute was part of Kelly’s public reflection on her birthday and her relationship with her father.

Ozzy Osbourne died on 22 July 2025 at his home in Birmingham, England. According to his death certificate, the official cause was a heart attack, with coronary artery disease as a contributing factor. Parkinson’s disease, which Ozzy was diagnosed with in 2020, was also listed on the certificate.

His final performance took place on 5 July 2025 in Birmingham, where he performed solo before reuniting with Black Sabbath at the end of the show. The benefit concert raised funds for Cure Parkinson’s, Birmingham Children’s Hospital and Acorns Children’s Hospice. Ozzy died 17 days after that performance.

Kelly was not the only family member to publicly mourn her father. Two days after his death, on 24 July, she posted on Instagram Stories: “I feel unhappy I am so sad. I lost the best friend I ever had,” referencing lyrics from Black Sabbath’s “Changes,” which she and Ozzy recorded as a father-daughter duet in 2003. In another message posted on Instagram Stories on 4 August, Kelly thanked fans for supporting her through her grief.

Throughout the months following Ozzy’s death, Kelly remained open about her struggle. At the 2026 BRIT Awards in February, held in Manchester, England, she attended the ceremony where her father was posthumously honored with a lifetime achievement award. When critics commented on her appearance at the event, Kelly responded by saying she was “currently going through the hardest time” in her life.
