Kelly Osbourne has ended her engagement to Slipknot’s Sid Wilson, just seven months after their engagement at her father Ozzy Osbourne’s farewell show in Birmingham. The Daily Mail reported the split.
A source close to the situation provided details about the reasons behind the split and Kelly’s current focus on her well-being and motherhood.
“Kelly and Sid have decided to call off their engagement. Kelly has been struggling following the loss of her father. The grieving process has been incredibly difficult, and she’s been doing everything she can to cope,” the source revealed.
The source continued to explain the underlying relationship challenges that contributed to their decision.
“In truth, she and Sid have been facing challenges in their relationship for some time, and things were not as they appeared. They tried to make it work, particularly for the sake of their child, but ultimately decided that separating is the best path forward,” they said. “Kelly has endured a great deal over the past year. Despite everything, she remains sober and is now focusing on herself and her role as a mother moving ahead.”
The couple shares a son together. They got engaged during Ozzy Osbourne’s farewell performance in Birmingham last July.
The breakup comes during an exceptionally difficult period for Kelly, who has been grieving the loss of her legendary father Ozzy Osbourne. He passed away in July 2025, just weeks after his final Black Sabbath concert where Sid had proposed.
TMZ revealed that the couple actually ended their engagement over a month ago. The split occurred weeks before the news became public. The 41-year-old Kelly and 49-year-old Sid share a 3-year-old son named Sidney. Their relationship had a notably hot-and-cold dynamic throughout their time together.
The couple’s history spans nearly three decades. Extra TV noted they first met when Slipknot toured Ozzfest, the festival founded by Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne. Despite knowing each other for over two decades, they only went official on Valentine’s Day 2022. This made their romantic relationship relatively recent compared to their long friendship.
Kelly has hinted at her emotional struggles through social media. She posted on Instagram in early March 2026: “There is a special kind of cruelty in hurting someone who is already going through something deeply painful.” In previous interviews discussing her father’s death, she described the profound impact of the loss.
