Justin Hawkins recently took to Instagram to lavish praise on Glenn Hughes, dubbing him the Greatest Of All Time (GOAT) following their recent performances on the Monsters Of Rock Cruise.
Hawkins was captivated by Hughes’ performance aboard the Monsters Of Rock Cruise, sharing a photo of Hughes from the stage along with glowing remarks. The singer wrote:
“Ok, there are many great things to see on the Monsters Of Rock Cruise, but as soon as this guy opens his mouth to sing, I’m transfixed, and there’s nowhere I’d rather be. If you haven’t seen Glenn Hughes perform, rectify that immediately. He is not human. He is something else.”
Vocal Mastery And Bass Perfection

His post continued, further explaining his awe for Hughes:
“An absolutely extraordinary vocalist and his bass playing is perfection. What a band?! One of the best things I’ve ever seen! What’s more, he’s so full of love and positivity that you have to smile. Every aspect of this individual is inspiring. GOAT. I’m blown away. Can you tell?”
Praise From Peers And Fans

The post attracted comments from Hughes’ touring bandmate, Soren Andersen, and fans who mirrored Hawkins’ enthusiasm. Andersen said:
“Thanks, Justin.”
A fan comment added:
“I’ve seen him twice and am in awe at his talent. He is truly The Voice of Rock. I will also agree that he radiates positivity and beautiful energy. I want to see him again!”
Another one wrote, agreeing with Hawkins:
“I couldn’t agree more. Phenomenal talent and he clearly has ‘a painting in the attic’ (and probably recordings, too!). Such an inspiration, too, when we start feeling and fearing the passing years. He’s lost absolutely nothing of his amazing voice or his life spark.”
Hughes And Hawkins Unite

On this year’s Monsters Of Rock cruise, Hughes and Hawkins also sang together in a karaoke session. They performed ‘The Power Of Love,’ a hit originally by Jennifer Rush in 1984, which Celine Dion also covered.
Hughes is scheduled to perform his Deep Purple classics on the upcoming Blue Cruise 2024 in April, followed by shows in Europe. His band features Andersen on guitar, Ash Sheehan on drums, and Bob Fridzema as the keyboardist.
