Rooster Relics recently spotted former Journey vocalist Steve Perry, as documented in their Facebook post.

“Got to meet one of the greatest voices of all time, Steve Perry,” Rooster Relics stated. “The lead singer of Journey, who went on to a Solo career. Meeting him was such an honor, and is such a nice guy. He was very surprised that I recognized him. Talking to him, I learned that he is getting back into singing again.”

Journey guitarist Neal Schon recently shared an image titled ‘Journey Beyond’ on his X account. He followed this by posting a photo of Perry on his Facebook page. These actions have fueled fan speculation about a potential collaboration.

The Journey fanbase has engaged in intense discussion following Perry’s return to singing and Schon’s cryptic posts. This heightened interest stems from the band’s recent activities and Perry’s past musical endeavors.

A report from Alternative Nation highlighted Perry’s 2018 comeback with his solo album ‘Traces.’ He later released a stripped-down version of the same album. His career took another turn in May 2023 when he signed with a new label, expressing his commitment to passionate performances over routine.

WCSX noted that Perry and Schon’s last significant interaction occurred during Journey’s 2017 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction. The two briefly met backstage during this event.

2024’s tour celebrated 50 years since their album ‘Freedom’ release. Arnel Pineda performed lead vocals on iconic hits including ‘Open Arms’ and ‘Don’t Stop Believin’.’

Perry has consistently maintained his position against rejoining the band. This makes the recent developments particularly significant for longtime fans.

More details about this developing situation are expected to follow.
