Jon Bon Jovi Recalls The First Time He Met Mick Jagger And Shares The Greatest Lesson He Learned From The Stones

During a recent appearance on Rockonteurs, Jon Bon Jovi talked about the first time he met The Rolling Stones frontman, Mick Jagger.

In the conversation, Jon stated that The Rolling Stones were rehearsing a few blocks away from where Jon and his band were playing in the studio, but something interesting happened during this time.

When he got out of the cap, Jon saw that The Rolling Stones were getting out of the car. But, he wasn’t the only one who saw the mighty band, and the paparazzi were trying to take pictures of Mick Jagger.

Jon said that when they were trying to prevent the paparazzi to disturb Mick, the frontman grabbed Jon and his bad as he told paparazzi that this is his new band called the Frogs.

After telling this interesting story about Mick, Jon also mentioned what he learned about this experience and said that you need to become a nicer person as you become the bigger star.

Here is what Jon Bon Jovi said:

“I had a band and we were rehearsing a few blocks away. I was getting out of a cab, counting out my change to pay the cabbie… And the Stones got out of whatever car it was they were getting out of. The Stones!

At the same time as the Stones were going into the studio, a photographer jumps out of a trash bin and paparazzi, starts taking pictures.”

He added:

“The photographer’s screaming, ‘Mick, Mick, Mick, Mick, give us a picture!’ I swear to you, Jagger grabs me and these kids and he says, ‘Here’s my new band, the Frogs.’ And we took a fucking picture.

The bigger the star, the nicer the person. It was the guy that you don’t hear about today who was not cool. The Stones were cool.”
