Torra said the decision came due to recent changes in his life and the direction of his musical career. He explained that balancing both bands was no longer possible.

“A personal message to my friends, fans, and family,” Torra wrote. “With a heavy heart, I want to share that, due to recent changes in my life and the direction of my musical career, I will be stepping down from Fire ‘N Ice, the band I founded three years ago.”

“This has been one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever had to make. Fire ‘N Ice was more than a band to me; it was a dream I brought to life, a piece of my heart, and a chapter of my life I will forever cherish. Walking away from something I built from the ground up is heartbreaking, but sometimes life requires us to make difficult decisions to move forward.”

Torra thanked his bandmates and the people who helped Fire ‘N Ice grow. “To my brothers Marc Spyder, Sparrow, and Mike Gemini, thank you for being part of this incredible journey,” he said. “You’re more than bandmates; you’re family, and I love you all dearly. I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve built together, and I’m happy to know you’ll be carrying the torch forward. The baton is now in your hands, and I’ll always be rooting for you.”

“A special thank-you to Liam, our photographer, and Sammy, our merch girl and designer, for your unwavering loyalty, dedication, and for always going above and beyond to take care of this band and all of us. You’ve been an invaluable part of the Fire ‘N Ice family, and I’ll forever be grateful for everything you’ve done.”

Torra said his new role takes priority. “As much as I love Fire ‘N Ice, Quiet Riot is my main musical priority, and I owe it to myself and my bandmates to give this next chapter of my career the time and dedication it deserves.”

He also addressed the fans who supported Fire ‘N Ice over the years. “To all our amazing fans, especially in New Jersey, thank you for believing in us, standing by us through thick and thin, and making this journey so special. Your love and support have meant more to me than words can express. I sincerely hope you’ll continue supporting Fire ‘N Ice as the guys move forward.”

Torra announced one final show with Fire ‘N Ice before he leaves the band. “For anyone who would like to see me perform with the band one last time, my final show with Fire ‘N Ice will be December 4 at Dingbatz alongside Spread Eagle. I would love to see you all there and make it a night to remember.”

The statement marks Torra’s transition from his former band to his new position with Quiet Riot.

Torra’s appointment to Quiet Riot came after the band opened auditions in mid-July 2026 following the departure of longtime vocalist Jizzy Pearl. The 23-year-old singer stood out among more than 700 submissions with his audition videos of Quiet Riot classics, which went viral within hair metal circles. Quiet Riot announced Torra as their new lead singer on September 21, 2026, and he debuted with the band on October 1, 2026, at a show at Cherokee Event Center in West Siloam Springs, Oklahoma.

During the audition process, departing vocalist Pearl alleged that Torra’s videos had likely been enhanced using artificial intelligence. Pearl later retracted the allegation and issued an apology. Some fans and musicians noted similarities between Torra’s vocal style and that of original Quiet Riot vocalist Kevin DuBrow.

Fire ‘N Ice released the EP Hypnotized in 2024 and its debut studio album High Roller in late 2025. Torra had built a following in his home state of New Jersey through covers of hair-band and metal songs before deciding to audition for Quiet Riot after learning that Pearl had left the band. His immediate departure from Fire ‘N Ice shows the demands of his new role with the classic rock band.

Torra is the eighth full-time lead singer since Quiet Riot’s formation in 1975 and the sixth since the death of founding frontman Kevin DuBrow in 2007. The band has now moved forward with their new vocalist after decades of lineup changes.
