Jared Leto Admits He Wasn’t A Fan Of Beatles

Thirty Seconds To Mars recently made their comeback after five years with their single ‘Stuck’ from their upcoming album ‘It’s The End Of The World But It’s A Beautiful Day,’ which is set to release on September 15th. To promote the single and the album, Jared Leto played a Game of Song Association with ELLE, where he revealed his thoughts about The Beatles. He said:

“What a band! When I was a kid, I wasn’t really into The Beatles. I was into Led Zeppelin, The Doors, The Who, and Pink Floyd—darker music. But as I got older, I started to appreciate the Beatles, especially what they did in such a short amount of time and how they changed music. Also, the later, more psychedelic albums.”

The singer got on to The Beatles train when the band released more of their darker music since Thirty Seconds To Mars originally leaned more into that type of music. But with their new electro-pop single ‘Stuck’ they are experimenting with their sound and the music video, as Leto described in an Instagram post:

“Thanks to my incredibly creative mother, my brother and I were instilled with a love for art and photography from a very young age. The video for ‘Stuck,’ our first new song in five years, is a love letter to some of my favorite photographers. Artists who made a very deep impact on me, like Richard Avedon, Irving Penn, Robert Mapplethorpe, Diane Arbus, Herb Ritts, and more. Artists whose work changed the way I saw things and showed me new possibilities at every turn.”
