Jack White recently shared a post on his official Instagram and reflected on his experience of working with Martin Scorsese on the director’s latest film ‘Killers of the Flower Moon.’

The singer shared some pictures from the set of the movie and wrote, revealing his feelings for being involved in such a project:

“What an honor it was to be able to work with the great Martin Scorsese again on his new film ‘Killers of the Flower Moon.’ We first met on the Rolling Stones live film that he directed.”

Jack’s Gratitude For Collaborating With Renowned Actors

White also felt honored to work with some actors, as he further said:

“To also be able to create with the incredible actors, Larry Fessenden, Welker White (no relation!), and J.C. McKenzie? Well, it was an embarrassment of riches, to say the least. Thank you to all these artists and casting director Ellen Lewis and, of course, to Marty for thinking of me.”

Fessenden’s Perspective On Working With White

It seems the feelings of the rocker were mutual, considering Larry Fessenden’s words on working with him during an October chat with Insider. Speaking of the shooting of a specific scene from the film, the actor said:

“Marty would come in the second half of the day after we rehearsed. Everything was refined during the downtime between rehearsal and shoot. Then, we shot it. We go through close-ups and Marty makes adjustments. It was a very collaborative process. He is guiding and exploring with you to find what he thinks is right. And I had great fun with Jack White. “

Fessenden And White’s Off-Screen Bond

Fessenden also revealed they became friends with White, and shared:

“Jack and I hung out; he got us all tickets to see him perform a month or so later. I gave him my son’s record and his son was getting into watching movies on VHS so I sent him a copy of my old movie ‘Wendigo’ on VHS. It’s fun to imagine Jack White and his kid watching ‘Wendigo’ on some old tube TV or something.”

The former singer of the White Stripes appears in the film’s radio show segment. He performs a few voice roles and reads lines during the recap of the Osage Nation murders case on the radio show. Besides him, names like Pete Yorn, Sturgill Simpson, and Jason Isbell make guest appearances in the film.
