Three Days Grace announced that original singer Adam Gontier is back. Adam will now share lead vocals with Matt Walst, who has been the band’s singer for the last 10 years.

“After performing together in Nashville around this time last year and spending time in the studio since, we’re excited to announce the official return of Adam Gontier to vocals in Three Days Grace, with Matt Walst remaining as a lead vocalist, as well,” the band wrote on Facebook. “More details about new music and touring plans on the way…don’t miss out on what’s to come! Sign up for updates.”

They also added a statement from Gontier, “I feel like it’s been seamless, better than we were expecting. It’s like we got back in a room together and picked up where we left off. We have been friends for so long it’s kind of natural to get back in the room together.”

Walst also said, “It’s been so much fun and inspiring making this record. Combining over 20 years of Three Days Grace and doing something that no band has ever done. I’m excited for the fans to hear it!”

Three Days Grace had hinted at Gontier’s return with a mysterious video. The band posted a video on social media where Gontier leaves a voicemail for Walst, “Hey Matt, It’s Adam… Uh, I’m just running a few minutes behind, but I’ll be at the studio soon, if you could just let everybody know. Alright man, bye.”

The video hinted at a possible reunion. Three Days Grace released their fourth album, ‘Transit of Venus,’ on October 2, 2012, but Gontier left the band in January 2013, just before a tour with Shinedown.

The band quickly replaced Gontier with Walst, the singer from My Darkest Days and brother of bassist Brad Walst. After Gontier left, Matt joined the band full-time, and Three Days Grace released three more albums: ‘Human,’ ‘Outsider,’ and ‘Explosions.’

By April 2023, things seemed better between Gontier and Three Days Grace. He joined the band on stage in Alabama to sing ‘Never Too Late’ and ‘Riot.’ The band has been working on new music for almost a year. While no details about the new album are out yet, it seems like new music is coming soon.
