Former Iron Maiden drummer Nicko McBrain has announced his first project since retiring from the band.

The drummer will host a special ‘meat and greet’ event on Wednesday, January 29, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at his co-owned restaurant, Rock N Roll Ribs, in Florida. Fans will have the chance to take photos with McBrain, though autographs won’t be offered.

Rock N Roll Ribs is a barbecue spot that blends Southern barbecue with rock music culture. The menu includes Iron Maiden-inspired dishes such as the ‘Final Frontier’ dog, ‘Moonchild Mahi’ sandwich, and ‘Aces High’ fries, along with classic barbecue options like smoked pork and chicken.

In a 2010 interview, McBrain said about the restaurant: “It’s not just Maiden fans that come in. We do get a lot of pilgrimages, people come in and look at all the stuff on the walls, but most people that come in always come out satisfied. And it’s not major expensive. A rack of ribs is [$20], and you get a pound and a quarter to a pound and a half of ribs.”

In other news, after McBrain retired from Iron Maiden, frontman Bruce Dickinson said this year would be full of surprises: “2025 is gonna be something special. We’re gonna be doing stuff we’ve never, ever done before, and it’ll be a setlist for the ages,” he said in a video a month ago. Simon Dawson will join Iron Maiden for their 2025 ‘Run For Your Lives’ tour starting on May 27 in Budapest.
