Fred Durst Feels Blessed After Meeting ‘The Angel’ Jelly Roll

In a recent Instagram post, Fred Durst shared his happiness to meet Jelly Roll.

The Limp Bizkit frontman posted a video with Roll and said:

“Once in a while, every once in a while, you get blessed and you run into an angel.”

Jelly also talked after him:

“An oversized baby in a black hat like Johnny Cash [laughs].”

Drust wrote the following in the caption of his post:

“Love this fella, Jelly Roll – was a pleasure sharing the stage last night.”

Fred’s Words Before Introducing Roll

Durst and Roll performed together on May 10, at the 2024 Rockville Festival. While headlining in Daytona Beach, Florida, Durst invited Jelly to join them onstage to sing ‘Behind Blue Eyes.’ Durst wore an orange bucket hat and sang the opening of the song with the crowd, he asked, ‘You feel me?’ and then asked the audience to help him find ‘an angel’ to save them:

“I need you guys to help me pray right now. Pray for an angel. I need an angel. I need an angel to come out here and save me. I mean anything. Drop something from the sky. I don’t care what it is, just come out here please sweet angel. Come out here and save your brother Freddy D!”

Then Roll walked onstage in his cowboy hat as Durst introduced him to the crowd, saying:

“Oh my God. Ladies and gentlemen, Jelly Roll!”

The crowd cheered as the country singer started singing the third verse of the classic song: ‘Nobody knows what it’s like / To be mistreated, to be beaten / Behind the blue eyes.’ They continued with an acoustic duet. Limp Bizkit has been performing their version of the Who’s ‘Behind Blue Eyes’ live since they included the 1971 classic on their 2003 album ‘Results May Vary.’
