Flea Praises Perry Farrell By Pointing Out There Is No Other Singer Like Him

The co-founder and the bassist of the legendary rock band, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Flea appreciated Jane’s Addiction frontman, Perry Farrell on his Twitter and Flea called him one of the best singers of all time as a reply to Farrell’s tweet about Chris Cornell.

As you may remember, Flea and Perry Farrell were both longtime friends and former bandmates. Apart from his great performances in Red Hot Chili Peppers, Flea also collaborated with many groups and formed different supergroups. He previously joined What Is This?, Fear, and Jane’s Addiction as their bassist and formed Atoms for Peace, Antemasque, Pigface, and Rocket Juice & the Moon. 

While Flea was playing as the bassist of Jane’s Addiction for a short time, his path crossed with the band’s frontman, Perry Farrell. Then, staying as good friends, Flea and Farrell went separate ways in their musical careers. Flea continued to his iconic bass performances in Red Hot Chili Peppers while Farrell was remaining as Jane’s Addiction frontman and singer.

Recently, Farrell posted a tweet about Soundgarden late the lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Chris Cornell who committed suicide and his remarkable voice. Also, Farrell paid tribute to him by describing him as a super talent in his previous interview with Variety. As a reply to his tweet, Flea praised his friend and former bandmate, Farrell’s singing calling him as one of the best of all from his Twitter account.
