Eric Clapton’s Daughter Ruth Says ‘My Priority Is Our Mental Health’ While Talking About Her Kids

Eric Clapton’s daughter, Ruth Clapton, has posted a recent post on her official Instagram page today and talked about the difficulties she’s dealing with while focusing on having a great time with her boys during the quarantine.

You may already remember, Ruth Clapton made a public statement back in November and admitted that she’s about to navigate her way through a divorce. However, she stated that she and her ex-husband Dean Bartlett will continue to work together to parent their children Isaac and Theodore.

Today, Ruth has shared yet another post on her Instagram account and detailed how she’s doing with her boys these days. While stating that she cannot believe the things she’s been through in 2020, she also admitted that Isaac and Theodore are giving her a sense of purpose to move on which was apparently hard to find.

Here is what Ruth wrote in the caption:

“Happy New Year everyone! I’ve been pretty quiet on my grid because in all honesty, not a whole lot going on for me. I know it’s started off pretty challenging but I’m eternally grateful for these two terrors. They give me a sense of purpose which right now is hard to find.

This might be controversial to say but in my opinion, it’s not natural to be with your children as much as this especially at the age my two boys are. They’re so ready to be around other kids their age and to learn but it is what it is. We’ll get through it.

I’m putting no pressure on myself or them to do home learning, my main priority is our mental health. If they’re bored or ask me to do some work of course I will provide something for them to do. I have every faith in them both that they’ll catch up when they can but for now, we’re just going to survive and find the joy in the simpler stuff. Lots of walks, baking, making stuff, movie nights, and of course Minecraft. 😩🤦🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️😂”

She continued:

“Sending everyone love and light, I honestly cannot believe what I’ve been through in the last year. If you had told me how it would unfold this time last year I’d have said you were crazy! But genuinely I’ve never been happier so here’s to 2021 and all the new that it will bring.”
