DragonForce have announced a 22-date European tour for spring 2027. The tour will feature special guests Visions of Atlantis and Wings of Steel, following the announcement of their new album with new vocalist Alissa White-Gluz. The news was shared via Instagram.
The band’s announcement laid out the tour dates and ticketing details, along with plans for a related North American run celebrating a career milestone.
“DragonForce 2027 Europe Tour Dates are here! Tour starts 9th April to 8th May, with special guests Visions of Atlantis, Wings of Steel,” DragonForce said.
“North America Inhuman Rampage 20th Anniversary Tour: Nov 13 to Dec 13 with special guest Ensiferum, Rhapsody of Fire,” the band continued. “EU tickets on sale at 10am CET on Wed, 30th September, with local pre-sales starting at 10am CET on Monday, 28th September. Guitarist Herman Li spoke about the significance of the upcoming shows and the new chapter for the band.
“We are so excited to be able to play both our new songs and a special Inhuman Rampage set in Europe,” Herman Li said. “This is a new era for the band, and I’m so proud of the new record. I can’t wait to bring this new show to Europe!”
New vocalist Alissa White-Gluz also expressed her enthusiasm about returning to European stages with the band.
“Excitement would be an understatement – I’m thrilled to be back in my usual stomping ground and bring this exciting new concert to our European fans,” Alissa White-Gluz said. “See you soon!”
Ticket sales for the European leg open on September 30, with pre-sales beginning September 28. Further details are expected as the tour dates approach.
The tour announcement lands just days after DragonForce revealed the full scope of their next studio effort. The album details give fans a clearer picture of the new era the band has been building toward throughout the year.
The upcoming record will be the band’s tenth studio album and, notably, their first self-titled release. Simply called “DragonForce,” it is set to arrive on March 19, 2027 through Napalm Records. The release marks a symbolic milestone for a band now more than two decades into its career.
The album also introduces the group’s newly reconfigured lineup in full. Alissa White-Gluz steps in as co-lead vocalist alongside fellow newcomer Alessio Garavello. Both singers share frontman duties alongside longtime member Marc Hudson. White-Gluz is best known for her work with Arch Enemy and her current project Blue Medusa. She joined DragonForce earlier this year. The new album represents her first full-length recording with the band.
DragonForce shared the lead single “Hunger of the Beast” ahead of the album’s release. The single offers the first taste of the group’s new sound under its refreshed vocal lineup. The song’s accompanying video gave fans an early look at how the band’s revamped chemistry translates to their signature high-speed power metal style.
The European tour’s tie-in with the Inhuman Rampage 20th anniversary is no coincidence. The 2006 album, DragonForce’s gold-certified breakthrough release, remains one of the band’s most celebrated records. The upcoming shows will give European audiences a chance to hear it performed live alongside the group’s brand-new material.
