Fear Factory guitarist Dino Cazares shared new details about the band’s upcoming album.

“Someone asked me if the lyrics are going to be about man vs machine? I said ‘it’s going be satanic lyrics because I felt there wasn’t enough bands singing about that stuff,'” Cazares stated.

Cazares later clarified his position in a follow-up post. “Don’t worry our lyrics are not going satanic it’s a joke,” he wrote.

Fear Factory continues work on their new album, previously confirmed by Cazares.

The upcoming release represents a significant transition period for the legendary industrial metal band. It brings several notable changes to their lineup and sound.

Metal Injection reported that the band’s full focus has shifted to completing their new album. This change occurred after their planned tour with Coal Chamber was canceled due to frontman Dez Fafara’s health issues.

Blabbermouth revealed this album will mark two significant firsts. New vocalist Milo Silvestro, who replaced original singer Burton C. Bell in 2021, will make his album debut. New drummer Pete Webber, who joined in 2023, will also appear for the first time.

MXDWN detailed Cazares’s technical approach to the record. He plans to use an 8-string guitar tuned to low frequencies. This choice aims to recapture the band’s classic heavier sound while incorporating fresh elements.

The new material will showcase a return to their earlier style. The fresh energy from the new lineup members will enhance this approach.
