Def Leppard has announced their 2026 UK and European tour dates with special guest Extreme, as revealed in a statement shared on Instagram.

The announcement detailed ticket access information and the band’s excitement about returning to perform for their home audience.

“Def Leppard is taking over the UK and Europe in 2026 with the just-announced Summer tour with special guest Extreme,” the official announcement stated. “Rock Brigade Concert Club members will get first access to tickets and VIP packages tomorrow, Tuesday, September 2 at 10a. Tickets go on sale to the general public this Friday, September 5.”

Frontman Joe Elliott also shared his enthusiasm about the upcoming performances.

“We’re looking forward to playing Radio 2 in the Park in Chelmsford this week…our only UK date of 2025,” Elliott said. “But we’re also very buzzed to announce our UK and Euro dates in 2026! Playing to our home crowd and our fans in Europe is very important to us, and we’ll be bringing a brand new show that will feature some surprises as well as the classics! See you soon!”

The tour represents the band’s major return to UK and European stages following their limited 2025 appearances.

This announcement comes as Def Leppard continues to celebrate their remarkable legacy in rock music. The band builds on decades of success that have established them as one of Britain’s most enduring rock acts.

Wikipedia reports that Def Leppard was originally formed in Sheffield in 1977. The band became a defining force in the new wave of British heavy metal and melodic hard rock. They achieved massive commercial success with landmark albums such as Pyromania and Hysteria that have sold millions worldwide, cementing their place in rock history.

Guitarist Vivian Campbell recently highlighted the significance of their catalog and spoke about the enduring impact of their breakthrough work. Cleveland Scene noted that Campbell described Pyromania, now celebrating its 40th anniversary, as “groundbreaking” and said it “moved the goalposts for the entire genre.”

The band’s collaborative approach to music creation has been a hallmark of their success throughout their career. Substack detailed how their 1996 album Slang exemplified this team effort. Songwriting was a true collaborative process where members contributed ideas from their own studios before coming together in Spain to finalize tracks.

This 2026 tour promises to blend this rich musical heritage with fresh energy. Def Leppard plans to deliver a mix of classic hits alongside new surprises for their loyal fans across the UK and Europe. The partnership with Extreme as special guests adds another layer of rock pedigree to what promises to be a memorable touring experience.
