David Lee Roth Shares A New Version Of Van Halen’s ‘Ain’t Talkin’ Bout Love’
Former Van Halen frontman David Lee Roth recently shared a Twitter post and announced his new release, the remake of ‘Ain’t Talkin’ Bout Love.’
Formed in 1972, Van Halen was one of the most influential figures in the ’80s hard rock or glam metal scene. Rock vocalist David Lee Roth, known for his spirited persona on the stage, was the band’s original lead vocalist in different periods. Roth was the band’s voice from 1974 to 1985, in 1996 for a brief reunion, and from 2006 until Van Halen disbanded in 2020, following Eddie’s death.
After the death of his bandmate in 2020, Diamond Dave had a quiet period. Last July, he dropped two singles, ‘Pointing At The Moon’ and ‘Nothing Could Have Stopped Us Back Then Anyway,’ in a row. After these songs, he announced the remake of Van Halen’s 1984 album ‘Panama’ earlier this month. The singer’s latest projects seem to pay homage to his former band, Van Halen.
‘Ain’t Talkin’ Bout Love,’ the third single of Van Halen’s debut album, was initially released in October 1978. Two years after their disbandment in 2020, Roth announced a new version of their 1978 release in his last post on Twitter. The song’s latest version was recorded by Tom Syrowski last May and features Al Estrada on guitar, Ryan Wheeler on bass, and Francis Valentino on drums.
Roth’s Twitter post about his latest release follows:
“Roth Lives! – ‘Ain’t Talkin’ Bout Love’
