David Crosby Shares Opinions On John Mayer Taking Jerry Garcia’s Place With Dead And Company

The Byrds guitarist David Crosby took his official Twitter account to share a new post and revealed his thoughts about John Mayer, Jerry Garcia, and Dead And Company.

Following the death of Jerry Garcia in 1995, Grateful Dead members decided to disband. In 2015, a spin-off band formed, named Dead And Company, featuring John Mayer and the former Grateful Dead members.

One of the Twitter users asked what David Crosby thinks about John Mayer taking place of Jerry Garcia, and Crosby shared his honest opinion by praising Mayer’s talent.

While Crosby was saying that Mayer is doing a fine job, he also admitted that it is a bit different. However, Crosby mentioned that if Mayer could get enough room, he can really do it.

One of the Twitter users asked:

“What are your thoughts on Dead and Company and John Mayer taking Jerry’s place?”

David Crosby replied:

“I think he’s doing a fine job… It’s different of course but if you give it room to be it’s own thing… He really can do it.”
