David Crosby Says Michelle Willis Is One Of His Favorite Singers
CSNY legend David Crosby recently posted a tweet in which he praised Michelle Willis‘ musical talent and revealed that he considers her among his favorite singers.
On October 21, 2016, David Crosby released his fifth solo album ‘Lighthouse,’ which featured musical contributions by Becca Stevens and Michelle Willis on the song ‘By The Light Of Common Day.’ Stevens, Crosby, Willis, and producer Michael League then collaborated with Crosby on his 2018’s ‘Here If You Listen’ album.
Under the name the Lighthouse Band, the quartet also toured from November 2017 to December 2018 to promote the album. In July 2021, Crosby released his first solo album since ‘Sky Trails,’ ‘For Free,’ and a 50th-anniversary edition of ‘If I Could Only Remember My Name’ in October.
While promoting this album, Crosby also hinted at a possible future collaboration with the Lighthouse Band members. In a recent tweet, the musician shared a video of him and Michelle Willis singing the song ‘Trigger,’ a song featured in her upcoming album ‘Just One Voice.’ Crosby recently shared his thoughts on Willis’ musicianship with a tweet.
David Crosby stated in his tweet that Michelle Willis is one of his favorite singers in his whole life. He said Willis is fluid, powerful, and graceful in her music besides being a fine writer, soulful player, and bandleader who takes her musical work seriously.
