The Megadeth frontman discussed the band’s schedule across North America, Europe and Asia, as well as the bands joining them on tour.

“There’s a lot of really great touring opportunities for us,” Mustaine said. “We’re gonna be doing the States, we’re gonna be going back to Europe, we’re gonna be going down into the Asian territories. We’re leaving in a couple weeks to New Zealand, and followed up with Australia.”

He added details about some of the band’s stops in Asia. “And just going back to Korea. We hadn’t been there in almost 20 years. So we’ve got a lot of really great things we’re doing. We’re looking at going back to India. And [there’s talk of us] going down to South Africa, which would be great, ’cause that’s one of the territories that I haven’t been to that I really wanna go to.”

Mustaine then revealed the support acts for the upcoming runs. “The touring is heavy, and we’ve decided to take out a lot of our friends. Anthrax and Kerry King are going out with us on the next run. After that, we’re going out with Black Label Society and Testament [in Europe], which is gonna be great. I love both those bands. And many, many more.”

The comments were made during an interview about Megadeth’s upcoming tour schedule.

Megadeth’s touring plans are part of a major chapter in the band’s history. The band released their self-titled final studio album on January 23, 2026, known as the White Album, which became their seventeenth and final studio album. The record marked the band’s first to reach number one on the Billboard 200, with 73,000 units sold, and featured guitarist Teemu Mäntysaari and bassist James LoMenzo for the first time since 2009’s Endgame.

Mustaine has spoken openly about his path to this point. He was diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma at the back of his tongue in 2019 and is currently in remission. His memoir “In My Darkest Hour”, co-written with author Joe Layden, was released on September 8, 2026, and details his treatment and recovery from the disease. The book debuted at number 4 on the New York Times hardcover nonfiction bestseller list.

Kerry King, who joins Megadeth as a support act, released his debut solo album From Hell I Rise in May 2024 following his first solo show on May 7, 2024, at Reggie’s Rock Club in Chicago, Illinois. In early 2025, he embarked on his first North American headlining tour with Municipal Waste and Alien Weaponry as support. Anthrax, the other major support act announced, released their twelfth studio album Cursum Perficio on September 18, 2026.

The touring runs represent a significant gathering of metal’s leading acts. Later in 2026, Megadeth and Anthrax are set to join Iron Maiden as support for the latter’s North American tour launching in August, bringing together multiple generations of metal bands on the road.
