Anthrax drummer Charlie Benante recently announced that the band has completed their new album. He shared details about the project on Charlie Benante Official Facebook.

Benante expressed enthusiasm about the finished record, describing it as a significant work that captures a distinctly New York character. He provided insight into the album’s working title and the creative vision behind it.

“We completed the new Anthrax album and it’s a Doozy,” Benante said. “The working album title is ‘hey, go f*ck yourself’. It’s a very New York album. You can grab a slice and walk around and listen to it while eating.”

The drummer’s comments suggest the band has embraced a bold, unapologetic approach with both the album’s title and its sonic direction. This announcement marks a major milestone for Anthrax, as the band continues to move forward with one of their most anticipated projects in years.

Metal Sucks reported that Anthrax has completed the mixing phase of their new album. Charlie Benante confirmed this achievement on November 24, 2025. This represents the culmination of months of recording and production work, bringing the project closer to its official release.

The album was produced by Jack Bennett, Mike Monterulo, and Anthrax themselves. Jay Ruston handled the mixing, having previously worked on the band’s albums For All Kings and Worship Music. Lambgoat noted that portions of the album were recorded and mixed at Dave Grohl’s Studio 606 in Northridge, California, adding another layer of prestige to the project.

Arrow Lords of Metal revealed that the album is expected to be released in September or October 2025. Bassist Frank Bello confirmed this timeframe during the NAMM convention in January 2025. The album features the classic Anthrax lineup of Scott Ian on guitars, Charlie Benante on drums, Frank Bello on bass, Joey Belladonna on vocals, and Jon Donais on guitars.

With the mixing now complete, fans can expect further announcements regarding the official release date and the first single in the coming weeks. No official tracklist has been revealed yet, but the completion of mixing signals that the album is ready for its debut to the world.
