Buckcherry frontman Josh Todd recently sat down with Classic Rock and shared his firsts, bests, and favorites in music. The vocalist revealed that a famous pop band and one of their previous vocalists is his ‘guilty pleasure.’ He said:

“I love Harry Styles and there’s so many great One Direction songs. I love ‘Night Changes’ so much I learnt it on guitar, and my daughter and I would sing it.”

Josh also shared the song that makes him emotional and what it evokes in him:

“‘Sometimes It Snows In April’ by Prince. That song wrecks me. It makes me think of my father and how sad it makes me that we never really got to have a relationship. I think of my mortality, too.”

When it was asked Todd to choose a song to be played at his funeral, he answered:

“Nah, I don’t want a funeral. Sprinkle me over the ocean, I don’t want to be in the ground. If you want to remember me, I’ve got a catalog of music. You can always hear my voice and I wrote all those words. But I would say Buckcherry’s ‘Dreamin’ Of You’ would be a good one for a funeral.”

Josh recently shared his opinion about the lack of personality within modern rock bands since 2000s in a separate interview:

“You listen to any kind of new rock radio, and it sounds like — to me; this is just my opinion — it just sounds like one consecutive band for, like, 45 minutes, and you don’t know who anyone is, and you don’t know anybody’s name, and there are no guitar heroes, and there are no frontmen.”

You can listen to Buckcherry’s ‘Dreamin’ Of You,’ and their latest album ‘Vol. 10’ below.
