Guns N’ Roses lead singer Axl Rose shared a post to reflect his gratefulness for the fans who attended their tour on his official Twitter account. Rose thanked country singer Carrie Underwood and paid tribute to late Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins in his recent statement.

The band’s We’re F’N Back Tour started on January 31, 2020, in Miami, and GN’R members had to take a break from their concerts because of the COVID-19 outbreak. They could go back to the stage on July 31, 2021, in Hershey, along with Mammoth WVH’s Wolf Van Halen, who performed as a supporting act for them. However, the frontman’s vocal performance made the fans question the tour’s future causing criticism against him.

Even though Rose could perform in most concerts, the band canceled their Glasgow show on July 5, 2022, after the singer had problems with his voice. Then, Rose could continue the live shows, and the tour’s European leg ended on July 15, 2022, in Hanover. The Guns N’ Roses vocalist wanted to thank their longtime fans for their endless love and support, especially for Ukraine, and apologized to everyone from Scotland because of postponing.

Axl Rose announced that they dedicated their tour to their dear friend and colleague Taylor Hawkins, who unfortunately passed away due to a possible drug-related heart failure. It was horrible and painful to lose such a great soul. The musician added that Carrie Underwood, who was their guest singer in London gigs at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, was a lifesaver by making a joke that she was the one that could sing.

Rose’s tweet read:

“I’d like to thank everyone who came out to our European shows! You were amazing! We hope you had fun and hope to see you again sooner than later. I also want to thank everyone in London for being so understanding of our challenges and apologize again to our fans in Scotland for having to postpone our performance there.

Reschuleding or being forced to cancel aren’t things that are done lightly, especially with put fans, the size of the endeavor, and everyone from the fans, cities, venues, promoters, crews, and everyone involved thanked very seriously into consideration. I’d like to thank Carrie Underwood and her team for coming all the way to the UK for our shows at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. She’s amazing and, in this case, a lifesaver. At least someone could sing.”

He added:

“It’s just a simple gesture, and it’s awkward dealing with the gravity of something like this, but to pay our respects, we’d like to dedicate this tour to our friend Taylor Hawkins. Taylor was a great guy, and it was always great to see him! He was a great and always welcome part of touring these last few years! It is such a horrible thing, and our hearts go out to his family, friends, bandmates, and everyone who loves him.

I’d also like to thank everyone for showing such love and support during the tour for the people of Ukraine and their noble and horrifying fight for freedom against an increasingly totalitarian regime run by a callous, lying, murderous little man with outdated ambitions and no regard for human life.

Looking forward to seeing everyone in South America! See you soon!”
