Swedish metal band In Flames has announced the departure of their drummer Tanner Wayne through a statement on X (formerly Twitter).

The band issued an official statement to explain their decision to part ways with the drummer. Wayne had been a member of the group for several years.

“It is with profound gratitude and appreciation that we announce our creative decision to part ways with Tanner Wayne,” the band stated. “His dedication and musicianship over the past several years has left, and will continue to leave, a lasting mark on this band. We wish him nothing but the best.”

The band included a message for their fans: “We appreciate your support and understanding at this time and hope to see you all on tour this summer.”

Wayne’s departure concludes a significant chapter in the band’s history. He made several notable contributions during his time with the group.

Blunt Magazine revealed that Wayne joined In Flames in 2018. He brought fresh energy to the veteran metal band’s rhythm section.

Wayne left his mark on the band’s discography during his tenure. Ultimate Metal documented his performances on two significant albums: 2019’s “I, The Mask” and the band’s most recent release, “Foregone” in 2023.
