Alter Bridge has announced their eighth studio album while addressing fan speculation about whether this could be their final release. The announcement was shared on their official Instagram.
The band made the announcement through their official social media channels. They promoted pre-orders and exclusive tour access.
“Pre order our new self-titled album from our official UK / European store now for immediate exclusive ticket pre sale access for our U.K and European tour!” the band announced.
Fans began speculating about the album’s significance in the band’s catalog following the announcement. When one fan asked “Maybe their last album?” the band quickly responded to dispel any retirement rumors.
“No way!” the band replied. This confirmed their intention to continue making music beyond this release.
The self-titled album marks Alter Bridge’s eighth studio effort. It comes with accompanying tour dates across the UK and Europe.
This announcement comes as the band continues to build on their established legacy in the rock music scene. New details are emerging about their upcoming release and touring plans.
Consequence reported that the album will be officially released on January 9, 2026, via Napalm Records. The album contains 12 tracks featuring vocal duets between frontman Myles Kennedy and guitarist Mark Tremonti on songs like “Trust in Me” and “Tested and Able.” The recording process took place over two months this past spring at notable locations including the iconic 5150 Studio in California, formerly owned by Eddie Van Halen, and a Florida studio that once belonged to Elvis Presley.
Blabbermouth noted that the album also includes the band’s longest song to date, the closing track “Slave to Master.” To support the album, Alter Bridge will embark on a 31-date European and UK tour starting January 15, 2026, in Hamburg, Germany. The tour will conclude March 5 in Nottingham, England.
The tour will feature supporting acts Daughtry and Sevendust. Tickets go on sale July 18 via Ticketmaster. 95.9 The Rocket revealed that band members will be busy with other musical commitments in 2025 before the album release. Singer Myles Kennedy is set to perform solo dates supporting Wolfgang Van Halen’s Mammoth tour this fall.
The other members will be touring with their other band, Creed, through August. This demonstrates the continued musical activity across the various projects involving Alter Bridge members.
