Alice Cooper Recalls The First Time He Saw Nirvana And Shares Opinions On Dave Grohl

Filmmaker and musician Alice Cooper spoke in a recent interview with Atlanta’s Rock 100.5 radio station and revealed his thoughts about Dave Grohl.

In the conversation, Alice was asked which band he would sing for if he didn’t lead his band, and his answer was straight Foo Fighters because he thinks that they always play great when they cover his songs.

Furthermore, Alice remembered that Foo Fighters has two great drummers and wanted to praise Dave Grohl’s drumming skills by talking about his first time he saw Nirvana.

Alice said that he wanted to learn who is the drummer of the band in the first place because he thought he was really good. Also, he told back in those days that he wanted to take Dave from Nirvana if the band broke up.

Here is what Alice Cooper said:

“I think probably the Foo Fighters. Only because they’re exactly… When they do my songs, they do it exactly like the band. I mean, it’s amazing…

First of all, they’ve got the two best drummers. People keep forgetting that Dave Grohl… The first time I saw Nirvana, I looked right past the first two guys, and I said, ‘Who’s this drummer?’ ‘Cause he was really good; he stuck out. And I said, ‘If that band ever breaks up, I’m going for that drummer.’”
