One of the most popular content creators, Daniel Mac, recently posted Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee’s video in which he asked him, ‘What do you do for a living?’ Lee seemed startled by the question and was shocked after realizing that Mac didn’t recognize him.
As you may know, content creators are now on every platform supported by millions through likes and views. Due to the abundance of creativity in social media these days, when a person creates something original, it sticks with them. This is the case with Daniel Mac.
He came up with the ‘What do you do for a living?’ concept where he randomly approaches people who drive luxurious cars and asks them what they do for a living. He recently encountered the Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee and asked him what he does for a living. Lee’s shock was apparent in the video as he was left speechless and couldn’t answer properly.
Apparently, the drummer hadn’t seen Mac’s previous videos and wasn’t aware of the trend. David Lee, the Ferrari Ambassador, approached them and asked Mac if he really doesn’t know Tommy Lee in disbelief. The video ended on a funny note as they called Lee a ‘professional bonsai man’ because he enjoys grooming his bonsais in his free time.
Here is how the conversation went:
“Daniel: Hey excuse me, I love your car. What do you do for a living?
Tommy: Uhhhh… For a living? What does that mean?
Daniel: Like, what is your profession?
Tommy: Umm… I don’t know what it is.
Daniel: You don’t know? You look familiar though.
Tommy: Yeah I know, I get that all the time, it’s kinda crazy.
David Lee: You don’t know who this guy is?
Daniel: What do you do?
Tommy: I play drums, and I kill shit.
Daniel: You kill shit! There we go, for a living!
David Lee: He cuts bonsai trees too.
Daniel: Professional bonsai man.“
Apparently, Lee wasn’t the only confused person in this encounter. In the comments section, some fans have questioned if he was serious about not knowing who Tommy Lee is, and some people even slammed Mac for putting the musician in a difficult position.
In the comments section, the creator defended himself, stating that he had to act like he didn’t know Tommy Lee just for the content, as he did with other celebrities before.
Here is how he defended himself:
“Yes, I know who Tommy Lee is everyone. Still had to roll up to him and have him think I didn’t.”
Another thing that the fans pointed out was that Lee looked high. They found his shock exaggerated and assumed he might have smoked something and driven under the influence. Unfortunately, the drummer didn’t repost the video on his Instagram or comment on it yet.
