The Reason Vince Neil Got Into A Brawl With Nicolas Cage

Vince Neil is a talented musician known for his work with Mötley Crüe as the band’s lead vocalist. Neil was known to abuse drugs and alcohol alongside his bandmates throughout his career with the band, especially during the 1980s when Crüe’s fame was increasing. Primarily because of that, the musician got into trouble several times.

In late 1984, Neil’s drunk driving resulted in Hanoi Rocks drummer Nicholas ‘Razzle’ Dingley’s death. Following that, the singer was charged with vehicular manslaughter and driving under the influence of alcohol, and was paroled for his good behavior after serving 15 days in jail. In 2002, he was also arrested for punching producer Michael Schuman.

One year later, in 2003, Neil was arrested again after being accused of assaulting a sex worker. During a show in 2004, the Crüe singer got into a fight and left a soundman unconscious for 45 minutes. As it seems, Neil has some anger management issues as this caused him to even fight with actor Nicolas Cage. Let’s learn the details of the incident.

Vince Neil Pulled A Woman To The Ground By Her Hair, Nicholas Cage Intervened

In April 2006, Vince Neil was in Las Vegas with Nicolas Cage, and they were staying at Aria Hotel. On April 7, a woman named Kelly Guerrero approached Cage and asked for an autograph. Due to an unknown cause, Neil then allegedly pulled the woman to the ground by her hair.

As a result, Cage brought Neil outside the hotel, and a fight took place between the two. Following that, Cage tried to calm the singer by restraining him and yelling at him to ‘stop this shit.’ According to TMZ, Cage tried to take Neil into a car, and the singer wasn’t taken to a police station, although he was cited for battery.

As reported by TMZ, the incident happened as:

“Law enforcement sources tell us the fight went down at around 5 PM at Aria Hotel on the Vegas strip. We’re told Nic and Vince were inside when a woman came up to Nic and asked for an autograph. Our sources say Vince allegedly got behind the woman, grabbed her by the hair, and pulled her to the ground.

The video we got shows the end of a fight between Vince and Nic. Our sources tell us Nic was trying to restrain Vince and calm him down, taking him outside the hotel and into a car. Nic is screaming at Vince, imploring him to calm down. Cops tell us Vince was cited for battery and never taken to the station.”

As seen in the incident video, Cage kept Neil in close contact, and Neil refrained from fighting against Cage’s grip. Following the incident, Neil pleaded guilty, received six months of probation, and was fined $1,000.

On the other hand, Guerrero sued the singer for $150,000 for medical expenses, lost wages, and physical and emotional distress caused by the incident. However, Neil denied all allegations and accused the woman of seeking publicity.
