Steven Van Zandt Asks Fans For An E Street Band Related Favor

E Street Band guitarist Steven Van Zandt shared a post to express his ideas and concerns about his country on his official Twitter account. The famous musician had a request from his fans who have constantly been asking some things about the concerts from him and other band members.

The band’s latest tour was The River Tour, which started on January 16, 2016, in Pittsburgh and finished in Auckland on February 25, 2017. They decided to support Springsteen’s ‘The Ties That Bind: The River Collection box set’ and celebrate the 35th anniversary of ‘The River’ through these live performances. Since then, the band didn’t go on any other tour until a thrilling statement from the frontman.

Recently, Bruce Springsteen announced that they will return to the stage with their upcoming tour, which will begin on April 28, 2023, in Barcelona, Spain, and end on July 25, 2023, in Monza, Italy. Therefore, as usual, their longtime and dedicated fans made some requests from the band members, such as songs they should add to their setlist for the concerts or cities they need to come to on social media platforms.

However, Steven Van Zandt was disturbed by these endless wishes from fans and wanted to share his ideas about that in his recent tweet. The guitarist highlighted the ongoing problems in the country, such as losing democracy, were more important than these. Thus, Van Zandt wanted to see more news about these situations on his timeline instead of reading posts about their new world tour.

Here’s what Van Zandt wrote in his tweet:

“Do me a favor. We’re all excited but move your song requests, setlists, and cities you hope we come to, to the Bruce feeds or E Street or Spring Nuts or wherever. I need my feed to be focused on the fact that our country is losing its democracy and sh*t like that, ok? Thank you.”
