Why Hagar Was Estranged From His Former Bandmate Eddie Van Halen?

Sammy Hagar was the lead singer of Van Halen between the years 1985 and 1996, during which he recorded four studio albums with the band. One of them was the ‘Balance‘ album which was allegedly the cause of Hagar’s departure from Van Halen.

After the release of the ‘Balance’ album, Sammy and Eddie and Alex Van Halen were allegedly in an ongoing conflict. They had some disagreements about the songs in the album following by a medical issue regarding Sammy’s pregnant wife. Following their argument on the incident, Hagar was fired from the band. However, Eddie claimed that Sammy was the one who left the band.

After the tragic loss of Eddie, Hagar joined various interviews to clarify whether he reconnected with his former bandmate before he passed away. Sammy stated that he and Eddie buried the hatchet and reconnected earlier in 2020. Hagar also mentioned that he would like to contribute to a tribute show for Eddie if Wolfgang or Alex asked him to join in the future.
