Led Zeppelin lead vocalist Robert Plant recently shared a post on his official Instagram page revealing a picture with musician Alison Krauss and while some fans think he’s heralding a brand new album after the duo’s first collaboration, ‘Raising Sand,’ some think it may be a declaration of a relationship mainly because of the post’s romantic caption.
As some of you might remember, Robert Plant and Alison Krauss previously released a Grammy-award-winning studio album named ‘Raising Sand‘ on October 23, 2007. The album was an instant success as it won an award for the Album of the Year at the 2008 Americana Music Honors & Awards as well as debuting at number two on the Billboard 200.
After Plant was photographed at Nashville International Airport with the guitarist Tony Iommi back in December 2020, it was rumored that he has been recording a follow-up to the 2007 album with Alison Krauss in Nashville. Fans were quick to believe the allegations as Led Zeppelin vocalist previously stated that he’s in touch with Krauss about a new album back in January 2018 during an interview with WFPK in addition to once stating how certain he’s about another future collaboration with Krauss during an interview with Classic Rock Magazine back in 2019.
Recently, Robert Plant shared an old picture on his official Instagram page with Alison Krauss and fans instantly thought it’s an obvious announcement of a brand new recording from the duo that has extremely harmonic chemistry, therefore, fans who were mesmerized by the previous record shared dozens of comments asking Plant to reveal if they are working on an album.
While a new recording may be a high probability, there were also a majority of fans who thought Robert Plant and Alison Krauss may be in a romantic relationship after the caption including a poetic lyric from Bob Dylan’s classic track, ‘Talking World War III Blues,’ and due to the fact that Plant is no longer in a relationship after parting ways with musician girlfriend Patty Griffin, fans may be right about their claims.
