Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Flea Says John Lewis Was A Saint Who Was Willing To Die For The Peace Of His Community

Red Hot Chili Peppers bass guitarist Flea took his official Twitter account to share a new post and revealed his opinion about late politician John Lewis.

John Lewis is a civil rights activist and leader who served in the United States House of Representatives besides being a politician. After diagnosed with cancer in 2019, he passed away in July 2020.

On Twitter, Flea saw a picture of Lewis back in 1965 where he was standing still against the officers and wanted to praise his golden heart by saying that Lewis was a saint.

Furthermore, Flea stated that Lewis was willing to die and imprisoned for the sake of the country and showed how an important personality he was for the American people.

Here is what Flea said:

“John Lewis is a saint. I put it down to him being willing to die, be beaten to a bloody pulp and imprisoned for the peace and well being of his fellow human beings. His depth of faith, and belief in a beloved community where people can live without ignorant hatred is devastatingly beautiful. A saint.”
