Pink Floyd’s Nick Mason Postpones His ‘Saucerful Of Secrets’ Tour

Nick Mason recently announced on his Twitter account that his 2022 ‘Saucerful of Secrets’ tour, which was planned to begin in April, has been canceled and postponed due to the unknown pandemic restrictions. His team apologized for the inconvenience and encouraged people to stay tuned for the new dates.

Pink Floyd is surely one of the most prominent bands in the rock and roll world. They are considered the leader of the psychedelic rock genre and have influenced many bands and musicians throughout the years. After forming in 1964, the band started to break apart in 1979, starting with Richard Wright. Roger Waters quit in 1985 due to personal drama in the band. The band experienced several breaking apart and reunions, yet, currently, they are going forward with their careers as solo musicians.

The members perform Pink Floyd songs in their solo shows because they cannot deprive the fans of that experience. Nick Mason even formed the band Nick Mason’s Saucerful of Secrets as a tribute to earlier Pink Floyd and to perform their lesser-known songs for wider audience recognition.

Accompanied by Guy Pratt, Gary Kemp, Lee Harris, and Dom Beken, Mason had planned a tour for 2022 but had to cancel because of the restrictions. His team informed the fans on Twitter but didn’t reveal the new dates yet. They also advised fans to hold on to their tickets and wait for the instructions of the company they brought them from.

Here is the announcement tweet:

“It is with great regret that due to the uncertainty surrounding the Covid pandemic, it has been decided to postpone the North American tour until later in the year. Apologies for any inconvenience or disappointment due to this. We are working on rescheduling the dates and will announce them as soon as we can. Ticket holders are advised to await further information from the venue and/or ticket company where they purchased their tickets.”
